Quick and Easy Matching Game
This is something I whipped up for the Little Man some time back. It is a quick and easy matching game involving silhouettes. This game helps to develop their visual discrimination, which is the ability to recognise details such as colour, size, shape and position in what they see. Ultimately, visual discrimination skills are needed when children learn to read.
Various toys lying around the house
1 piece of paper
Container - I used a box, but really, a ziplock bag would suffice
I simply placed the toys onto the paper and traced around them with the marker.
The Little Man had fun with it and had played with it several times. When he gets bored with it, I'll simply make up a new one with different toys.
